Victor Borge invented a spoof language called Phonetic punctuation in which
he made different sounds for commas, full stops, question marks etc.  He was
one Great Dane.

 The late Victor Borge?     Now you had me thinking all over Christmas.
Was he the one who wrote  advertising his  Guest house in the Alps to an
English   enquirer

 something like "Esteemed sir,
 There is a French Widow in every bedroom affording delightful  aspects and
Panasonic views? , or have I gone wrong somewhere?

 I fear I often recall things similar but not quite right and it nags away
