Graham,
Incidentally, I'm also told that the chances are that although the crackle
has been sorted, some of the other features of the sound card may be
affected as these drivers are not the perfect solution. If your other idea
fixes the crackle and leaves all the proper functionality, I'd certainly be
interested in knowing this.
Cheers,
Jamie

Hi.
I downloaded the latest soundblaster live drivers and that seemed to cure
it.
I think the you do this from http://europe.creative.com

Graham

All,
I know that this has been discussed before some time ago but can't remember
the details of the fix. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Essentially I am using Jaws 7.1 with Windows XP Pro and a SoundBlaster Live
sound card. Having just installed Jaws I have found that I am now getting a
very annoying crackling and faint echo following any verbalisations from
Jaws.
I think that the solution is to do with drivers for the SoundBlaster card
but can't remember the details.
Any elephants out there with long memories?
Thanks in advance,
Jamie
