Hi Jamie,
I don't remember this being discussed, but I certainly got the problem when
I switched to XP. Fortunately, one of the university techies had read about
it and managed to find a patch which sorted it out. If you don't get any
joy, I'll try to locate the guy that helped me.
Cheers
Colin

All,
I know that this has been discussed before some time ago but can't remember
the details of the fix. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Essentially I am using Jaws 7.1 with Windows XP Pro and a SoundBlaster Live
sound card. Having just installed Jaws I have found that I am now getting a
very annoying crackling and faint echo following any verbalisations from
Jaws.
I think that the solution is to do with drivers for the SoundBlaster card
but can't remember the details.
Any elephants out there with long memories?
Thanks in advance,
Jamie
