Hi Chris,
If you had the Jaws settings the way you liked them in your previous version of
Jaws, 6.1 has a merge previous settings facility.
JawsKey+j will take you to the Jaws window.
Cursor down to utilities then cursor right to merge utility and press enter.
You will now be placed in a list of previous Jaws versions available on your
pc, that is, as long as you haven't removed them.
(on my pc I only have version 6 in the list).
Select the one you want, tab to ok and press enter.
The merge utility will now incorporate your old settings from the Jaws version
you select into Jaws 6.1.
As for laptop settings; \I think that it is a matter of personal preference.
HTH,
Phil Medway.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Changing jaws settings
Hello, can anyone please, give me step by step instructions, on changing jaws
settings. The reason for this is due to having downloaded 6.1 and now jaws
tells me all the information on the screen, every time it changes, yes it is
driving me up the wall.
I hope to hear from someone soon. And can anyone please tell me should I be
using Classic laptop or just laptop settings?
regards
Chris
