Hello Robin

I did not get the earlier request though I did receive a lot of these=20
automated responses because of list problems. Presumably These mails were=20
caught up in these problems.

To clarify what I am trying to do. The default setting for Excel is that=20
when the program is loaded cell visibility is set to off. In order to turn=20
it on it is necessary to go into verbosity settings (Insert+v) and then=20
activate this option. The annoying thing is that each time a new workbook i=
s=20
loaded or each time Excel is closed or loaded the same process needs to be=
=20
followed to activate cell visibility. The setting can be saved for an=20
individual workbook by pressing Control+Enter when exiting verbosity=20
settings but this only affects the workbook in question. For example, if th=
e=20
cell visibility on option is saved for a workbook called T"est", when Test=20
is loaded cell visibility is turned on but if "WorkBook1" is loaded cell=20
visibility is turned off because this is the default setting for JAWS. I am=
=20
trying to alter the default setting of JAWS so that cell visibility is=20
turned on by default.

I hope this is clearer.

I don't know if there was a way of achieving this in earlier versions.

Peter Bentley
