Hi Barbara,

Yes, both my wife and myself use BTBroadband, with ethernet cable connecting
to each others computers, using BT Voyager 2000 router.

I have experienced this "cannot find server" quite often when trying to
connect to I E, or alternatively, something like "errors page" coming up in
Outlook Express.

This is despite fairly regular maintenance of disc clean up, de-frag etc. I
just have to re-boot the computer and then usually everything should be O K.
but surely you shouldn't have to do this so regularly? but we don't know
what appears to cause this? despite my wife who is sighted looking at
everything possible to try and understand why this is happening.

Hope we can get an answer from someone on this list.

Cheers,

Michael Brown.

Subject: [jaws-uk] BT Broadband Problems

Slightly off topic so apologies, but is there anyone else on here using BT
Broadband? If so, have you experienced a drop in quality of service
recently? I'm getting too often the message "Can not find Server" and pages
that do load take far longer than they should. Is this happening to anyone
else? If so, does anyone know why?

I was also wondering, are there any maintenance things that should be done
when using a wireless router as when you run clean-up, defrag etc on the PC?
I've done all of these on the computer, including Scan Disc and all is still
the same.

Would be grateful for any help/advice offered.
