Don't worry about simple questions Angela, it gives us a chance to show off
what we know . *smiles* I think Barry covered everything, almost, and I
learned a bit. Also Control + C copies txt, rather than cutting it, and the
delete key will remove it for ever.
If you've made a mistake control + Z will undo the last thing you did... but
usually you only get one chance at this, some progm=rams le you undo several
operations.
Earlier versions of Jaws gave you a sample piece of text that you could play
around with, No longer, I fear, but find something that doesn't matter and
have a good play around.

First, you need to know how to highlight text. So, here are a few methods
of highlighting text in a document:
Shift+left or right arrow highlights one character or letter at a time.
Control+shift+left or right arrow highlights a word at a time.
Shift+end highlights from the cursor to the end of the line.
Shift+home highlights from the cursor to the beginning of the line.
Shift+up or down arrow highlights the line of text.
Control+shift+up or down arrow highlights the paragraph. Subsequent
presses
of the up arrow whilst holding the control+shift will first highlight the
line space between the paragraphs then the next paragraph.
Control+shift+home highlights from the cursor to the beginning of the
document.
Control+shift+end highlights from the cursor to the end of the document.
Control+ the letter A highlights the whole document.
Next, you just need to cut or copy:
Control+ the letter C to copy the highlighted text.
Control + the letter X to cut highlighted text.
Next, you put the cursor where you want to move the text to and press
control V to paste.
I think that's just about covered it. If I've got anything wrong, I'm
sure
someone will point it out.

Hi,
Can someone tell me, please? how I am able to delete or move chunks of
text from within a document. I'm assuming that some kind of markers are
involved here.
Sorry for the seemingly simple questions, but I'm still getting to grips
with things...
Thanks so much for your help.
Kind regards, Angela.
