[jaws-uk] Re: Anti Virus Program and Jaws

Hi,

I use NOD32, from www.eset.com, and cannot recommend it highly enough. On my computers I run WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION SP2 and have both JAWS Professional 5.10 and WIN-EYES Professional 5.5 installed. They both work equally well with NOD32,. The only change that is needed to make it thoroughly user friendly is for the ESET 'custom graphical user interface' to be switched off.

I have used NOD32 now for more than two ears and would not go back. It costs about £30 per year but this price is reduced if blocks of 2 or three years cover are purchased at once. As with all the 'paid' Anti-virus packages I have come across these costs are typical for a new purchase only; subsequent renewals are usually based on a lower tariff structure.

I have not used it for some time now so cannot speak from personal experience but the 'free' version of AVG seems to enjoy a good deal of popularity and doesn't seem to cause to many problems for screen-reading software applications.

Hope this helps...

Hi,
Which anti virus program goes well with Jaws?
Are there any free anti virus programs that are compatible with jaws?

Thanks,

Anil
