so as far back as 1970,interesting that.Any ideas about the Dong then as in
Ding Dong Dell pussyin the well.? I have a feeling it is my fault. I was
surprised when Tony Berry said the previous date was 1981 as family member
who makes his own computer or used to when young world say differently.
It is hard to phone Freeserve now a days all in an Indian call centre. RE
the batter failure they Freeserve told " you have a file corrupted I
asked what kind of file they said a Windows File. The Bt man on the phone
was rather kind and said he could guess what it was and he was right. I
am stillnot sure what to say to Freeserve. Incidentally thismay be of use
to home users of not just ISP but any situation such as buying.. I have
to use it the other day as the people I got the plug in in Pool in
Dorset a business group bestnot mention unless I can do it without
breaking he rules .They wouldn't refund me the money said it is just
outof the three years Warranty. I said I havebeen phoning you for weeks
telling you something wrong and I bought it with your knowing it had to
send the correct message to my laptop the Toshiba. Man on phone not
interested at all. I ask can I speak to a Director. He says NO. I say
then putting writing I cannot speak to a Director. He refuses to do this.
I ask are you sure about that? he says yes. I then say I am recording
this. He complains and says " you should toldme that at the start the
conversation" I say no I neednot tell you at all but I am. This is
correction you can check with the Data Protection Commission in Wilmslow in
DO of not forget this is in a Home situation under Section 36 "Domestic""
In the early days Freeserve would pull a plug one if I said hang on I
cannot write this down I need to record this. I made them apologise and
promise to tell oall the employees not do it again.
Having said that I have not had many of the Technical be aware of it
but you canbe it may be of great help to you. You can record and you do
NOT need to tell them. i did in order to see his response. I did tell them
the plug-in was for my OcR and must send the correct info. I am only
adding this aas many of you at home struggling to get things down maynot
know this.
Dorothy
Ps I think a business must tell you if they are recording you but amnot
sure that maybe just good practise on their part. I am talking of the Home
situation.
