Hi Tiddy,
I took your advice and turned off flash, but it hasn't had much of an
effect. I agree with Audrey, it seems to be memory related. I have 1 GB of
RAM on this machine which should be more than enough. I am wondering if I
can tweek memory management on this machine somehow?

Paul, someone else mentioned flash. I have this turned off, because of
these sort of problems. In the html options of the Jaws config manager
there's a check box.
