I didn't have any problem getting the information I need. I just thought it
was odd that the command is not echoed back to me from the desktop and it is
echoed back to me while not focused on the desktop. Its almost like the
command echo is set to off in the desktop configuration and set to on in the
default configuration.

Subject: [j-say list] commands being echoed back in applications but not
being echoed back on the desktop.
When I ask what time is it or what date is it from the desktop the command
is not echoed back no matter if I have command echo set to honor off.
However if I am in any of the three supported applications if I say what
time is it or what date is it the command is echoed back. Once again no
matter if I have command echo set to honor off. Just something I thought
was a little odd.
Thank you for reading.
Chris.
