David, Did you upgrade to J-Say 6.0 or 6.1? Tracking down your difficulties will depend, at least in part, on the answer to that question. The key elements that need to be considered are as follows: 1. Do you have the correct version and build of JAWS and Dragon? 2. Did you do a fresh install of the correct build of JAWS or return the settings to their defaults before installing J-Say? 3. If you're using a voice profile that you had already established, did you bring up the J-Say configuration wizard and restore all of the J-Say settings to their defaults? There's quite a lengthy part about upgrading in the documentation if you want me to send it to you. Sue W. If i just dictate, it will actually transcribe my dictations. however, commands like "listen to me" and "check microphone" get no response at all. if i say "check echo", it response with "unknown script called to what echo". i repeated the command several times very clearly. it had worked in JSay 5 with no problem. Same response when i say echo on command echo on. I cannot get it to verbally echo my dictation. also, all the settings under tools/options are correct. yet the hotkey for turning on and off the microphone are not working or set at all, even though JSay says everything is set right. i can only turn on and off the mike by doing control shift f-12 and then using the turn microphone on and off command from the keyboard. this is bizarre. any suggestions?
