I'm going to respectfully disagree with something Sue said (at least
partially). While Dragon Premium does not allow FULL voice control of the
computer, there are some commands available while working in documents. Such
as "move down one line", "move to end of document", etc. Also, the "press"
commands should work with Premium.

However, you do need to make sure you correctly say the command.

Anne - when I re-read your original message, one of the examples you gave that
was being typed instead of processed was 'move down one'. However, you did not
tell it "what" to move down - as in 'move down one ???"

Try using 'move down one line' or 'move down one paragraph'.

Also, Anne, what program are you dictating into - Word, DragonPad, Notepad,
something in your web browser?

It may be that Dragon doesn't support Full Text Control (previously
Select-and-Say) in your application. If that's the case, many of the basic
commands (navigation, press, etc) won't work - regardless of which mode you are
in.

Oh, boy! I think it's premium; will check when I get back to the
work computer. Open and close work fine; just not 'press'.

I did try going into command mode and no difference. But perhaps
this one is solved.

thanks, everyone, for the suggestions.
