I use a Netgear mini printserver attached to the parallel port of my
ancient HP LaserJet. The software I use is Stefan Bellon's
RemotePrinterFS using the Jetdirect protocol on my Iyonix.

As has been said, there are printers with built in ethernet interfaces
without the need of a printserver.
