I have no technical expertise whatsoever, but for what it's worth, I
have a 19" Digimate LCD, bought from ETC. (Dave Lawton), at Wakefield
three years ago I have none of the problems described here. I've got
my monitor about 70cm away and it's fine. I use a KVM switchbox to
share the monitor, (and keyboard and mouse), with my Iyonix and HP
Pavilion PC and the menu button plus all other buttons,(eg. volume),
work normally all the time regardless of which machine I'm currently
viewing. I bought my Iyonix and Pavilion last Christmas. Before that I
had the KVM sharing the monitor between my Kinetic RiscPC and a
RiscCube PC also just the same - monitor buttons worked regardless of
which machine was being used. Likewise if I only had/have my RISC OS
machine on, (quite likely!).
Dunno if this helps!
