Have you recently installed Geminus?

Because of an operating system limitation, the sound card is only able to 
access memory in the video card, which normally is not used unless you have a 
2D or 3D accelerator driver running. Geminus tries to use the same memory that 
sounddma is using, so you will get video and audio glitches.

The operating system either needs to be patched to address this limitation (no 
patch is available though), or sounddma and Geminus need to agree on what video 
memory they will touch.
