I go along with that - there has to be a sufficient gain in 
performance to make the new machine worthwhile.

Realistically, an Iyonix 2 would have had to appear about two-three 
years ago.  However, it's not just a matter of the need for hardware 
manufacturers to make a living, but for sufficient software developers 
to be out there as well.
