As it happens, I have been playing with my sons Wacom tablet on the 
Mac - so for a bit of fun I plugged it into the Iyonix. I was a bit 
surprised that it did actually work. The model is a CTE-440 Graphire 
4.
Having briefly established that it did work as a mouse replacement and 
could be used in Artworks I unplugged it, but then had to do two 
resets to get back to normal:-O
