Well, it's a cheapish but reasonably functional tablet bought from
Maplin. It's from the Far East and is Model WP5540 from
UC-Logic Technology Corp www.uc-logic.com and features:

- 1024 pressure levels.
- left mouse button at pen tip.
- middle and right mouse buttons on pen shaft.
- tablet hot-spots arranged round the periphery of the tablet.
- 3-button wireless mouse with 400dpi resolution.
- mini-CD with some supporting software for Windows and MAC OS X.
- trial versions of Photoshop and Corel support software.

Interesting comments so far, plus an excahnge off list with Paul
Reuvers of http://www.xat.nl/, author of !HID. He confirms that most
tablets should work immediately if only as a mouse replacement, and
that !HID can support additional features if it knows the "magic
command" to turn the unit into a real tablet (i.e. not just a mouse).

Then additional input information could be generated, but that
presumably still has to be communicated to an app, perhaps by the
Eesox SWI mentioned by Martin.

Meanwhile my tablet doesn't yet function even as a mouse on the
Iyonix, so it's probably not going to have any use under RISC OS.
