[iyonix-support] USB Flash Drive directory file limit

And then worked OK. I would have stopped there!

I would expect Windows formatting not to leave one. So that was, as Martin
says, a red herring.

So, as there is no reason to use a RISC OS format apart from a personal
preference, you are wanting to solve a theoretical problem.

My guess is that SCSIForm is broken, undiscovered hitherto as there is no
practical reason to use it AFAICS, all drives arriving formatted.

I have a working 128MB drive of a different make, and ROFS reports:

        bytes/sector            512
        sectors/cluster           4
        bytes/cluster          2048
        reserved sectors          1
        number of FATs            2
        sectors/FAT             254
        sectors in root dir      32
        base of root dir        572
        FAT type              FAT16

I'm loath to reformat it with SCSIForm, but I might if no-one else comes up
with anything.
