I would rather not go into the DOS filer 'inconsistencies' at the
moment.  I would rather sort out the working of it on ADFS first.

I am as well I suppose.  This is the first time I have tried using 
ADFS on a USB drive.  If I can't reliably use a small 128MB flash 
drive on ADFS with RISC OS, what chance is there using a >2GB one...
