Glad to hear its working now but just so as no one else things it may be the
answer in the future to a similair problem enabling Access should have no
effect on your internet connection! Why your system started working again I 
have no idea, but 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.

Also

This will not always work! The gateway must be set to be the Routers IP
address.
Most routers will now support obtaining DNS themselves, so setting
your DNS to be the routers IP address will work with most routers.

You can also manually set the the DNS in each computer with the DNS quoted
by your ISP.
