I thought the whole point about WD40 (and other aerosol 'penetrators' and
'water dispersants') is that it contains more solvent than it does oil.
Used in the open, where the solvent can evaporate is one thing..

Lubricants they may be but oil? No.

Light (Sewing) Machine Oil is more appropriate and is usually oil if
you can pour it. A tin of three-in-one (not an aerosol) has to be better
than WD40.

I'd rather use Olive Oil than WD40!   ;-)
