DOSFS has misread it, it thinks its 6GB-4GB, so approx 2GB. It might just
appear to work while the directory and file data is in the lower part of
the storage, but before long its going to either hang when it tries to
access data outside this range, and undoubtedly corrupt the disc when it
tries to write.

Try reformatting it on the PC with a 2GB primary partition to share data,
and the remaining 4GB for PC only. I don't know if this will work though.
