 I certainly agree with that! What I was getting at was whether I can 
use SWI calls detailed in the hardcopy PRMs I have and know they will 
work on the Iyonix.  I have downloaded the information from the Iyonix 
website and where necessary updated the relevant pages of the PRMs.

I can programme competently in BASIC but I did use Dr Wimp, my 
interest in teaching myself C is really just that, an interest  and it 
will prove to myself the brain still works and hopefully will keep it 
active. I cannot see me contributing a lot to the RISC OS scene but 
you never know I may come up with abright idea or two!!

Thank you, and all the many other respondents, for your help and 
advice and I am sure I will be back time and again but of course will 
now address my questions to csa.programming.
