No JayCee Peter Naulls is *NOT* addressing you at all. 
   
  The remarks are addressed at John Cartmell. John is (unfortunately whether by 
accident or design) "muddying" the waters a bit by introducing ROL's flavour or 
RISC OS and Select. Obviously as you have an Iyonix any Select functionality 
can't be tested by you on your own machine - so is therefore unlikely to be of 
use to you (other than as an academic exercize)
  
On the other hand RO5 related stuff (the things you *can* do NOW on your 
Iyonix) is available and can be used - and best place to look for info on this 
is the www.iyonix.com site.
  
IMHO there's plenty for you to learn on the Iyonix *first* before I'd even 
remotely consider wondering about Select or other versions of the OS.
