I think my query has reduced to 'Has anyone successfully used SD cards in
the NEODIO 6-in-1 reader supplied at one time with the Iyonix', as it /may/
be that the MMC socket was not programmed to read them despite the
connection/footprint being the same.

I hadn't appreciated this possible ambiguity until I read a bit about MMC
on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MultiMediaCard). The socket in
the reader seems to have the requisite 9 connections, but the controller
may not be programmed to use them all (MMC used 7, apparently).

Unfortunately I've long-since discarded the pack the reader came in which
doubtless listed what cards it /could/ read. For anyone wondering if theirs
is the same, it is marked on the back/bottom 'Model No.:CR-V10-U6'.

If anyone still has the pack, or has successfully read SD cards with it or
not, that information will help.

I expect I'll end up buying a specific reader for the SD cards, but they
seem a bit thin on the ground in local shops around here (temporarily back
on Merseyside).
