Could it be that the NEODIO 6-in-1 reader (describing itself as an 8-in-1
reader in USBInfo) only works with the older MMC-type cards and not with
the newer SD cards which share the same connection pattern/footprint and
can be interchangeable in some applications, but are electrically different?

In which case, the USB system insisting the drive is empty when it is not
could be due to the controller software in the card not dealing with the SD
card.

Does anyone successfully read SD cards with this card reader?
