Hi,
it's me again; just now I dimly remembered that in an entirely different
context someone was advised to try to change the USB port.
So, without much hope, I changed the card reader from the top front socket to
the bottom front socket - and everything appears to work perfectly!
I copied six files - two archives, two jpegs and two texts - to each of the
seven directories mentioned in my original message; the Palm can handle each of
those 42 copies without the slightest problem.
Can any of the experts explain this to me, please?
(And must I now expect problems from my Epson Perfection 1660 Scanner which now
is plugged into the top? Until now it never gasve me a single bit of trouble.)
Regards,
Jochen
