Hi all,

I have made some steps in porting a 2.6 tree, but time and work have
caused it to stall. If anyone particularly wants to progress this then

indicated for the 2.4 tree to a 2.6 tree, but ATM no boot.
John,
you may be aware of the fact that all 2.6.x kernels need an initial RAM
disk aka "initrd". Unless anyone finds a solution to enable RISC OS to
load an "initrd" image prior to booting Linux your effort might be useless.
that is already there .. I thought.. because that is what is loaded in
!DInstall ...
thanks for the suggestion though .. it may provide pointers
JOhn
Thank you for trying and good luck !
Rainer
P.S. I have Debian Linux up and running on my Iyonix Panther, but as I
am using the 2.4.X kernel and unmodified graphic card drivers, the KDE
desktop is dominated by the orange colour instead of blueish.
