Yes, I do always dismount the phone before I disconnect it from the USB.

However, if you subsequently modify the file map (ie. add, rename or delete
a file) on the phone itself, next time you plug it into the iyonix it comes
up with the Ambiguous disc name error.

Thanks for the comments though, I'll try just an RMREInit next time
(instead of the RMKilling bit) and see if that sorts it.

This particular phone seems rather fussy anyway because as soon as you
disconnect the lead, it comes up with a friendly warning message on the
phone saying that disconnecting the lead can lead to data loss - even
though the device has been dismounted from RISC OS.
