*rmreinit adfs will do the job .. make sure you have no files open at the time as this will also close any open files in the adfs filesystem

I can't answer this, but I wonder if anyone can answer a simpler, related question at the same time:
I sometimes get the "Ambiguous disc name" error on the Iyonix in connection with ordinary floppy discs after removing a disc from the Iyonix, changing the files on the disc using my RiscPC, and then re-inserting the disc in the Iyonix, if I have forgotten to dismount it first on the Iyonix before doing this. Is there a solution, without rebooting the Iyonix or changing the disc name on the RiscPC? (The problem does not occur in the RiscPC.)
