In any commercial contract, if you want software support you have to pay
for it.  It does not matter that it should have been there in the first
place, that was your job to check the delivered goods and not authorise
the invoice if it was unsatisfactory.

While the consumer market is not so lax, I do have some sympathy for
software suppliers who desperately need income to continue in existence.
