Detective work suggests that Brian is in fact alluding to message

When you say 'remove from !Boot', do you mean that you were previously
*booting* it on start-up, or *running* it so that it appeared on the
iconbar?   Are you currently running it before you dial in, or dialling
in first and then opening the relevant directories and running !Netsurf
with the connection already open?

(I was thinking that this would be a good test for me to try, but
somewhat to my surprise I find that I'm apparently *not* booting up
Netsurf on start-up;  in fact, I usually run it via a Director menu
without ever having booted it previously, i.e. with <NetSurf$ForceVars>
set to 1. So clearly this isn't a universal panacea... :-()
