It's a bug in !Printers which occurs if USB information has previously
been associated with a printer definition. If you run !PrtSet2USB from my
website (see sig.) with the 'to file' setting saved it will clear the USB
data so that your choices are retained. If you are likely to need to
switch back to USB then I suggest having two copies of the printer
definition (*), one set for 'USB' and one  for 'to file'.

* There is a 'Duplicate' option on the Printers Control menu which
achieves this quickly. You'll still need to remove the USB data from one
copy of the definition though.
