On the contrary, routers often have far better DNS servers with caching and
logging.

Which is why if you have multiple computers, its better to use the router
as its only one setting to change, rather than on every computer.

If you are having problems, nothing stops you setting up one computer to
use the ISPs DNS servers directly while you are testing.
