[iyonix-support] Optical Drive Speeds

I was reading an article on Drobe regarding the new Intel dual 1.2GHz  
processors and picked up on a comment made by hubersn that CD devices  
on the Iyonix are communicating via PIO mode 0 and so this is why  
burning takes so much longer.

Is there any chance of this being upgraded to UDMA via a paid RISC OS  
5 update or somesuch - and if not what are the barriers to this  ?
