I too was getting this every day, despite clicking on 'Don't tell me 
again'.

I don't use HID; I did have a look at the originally bundled software 
many moons ago: it looked fearsomely complicated and I seemed to be 
managing well enough without it it ...


Today I downloaded the latest HID 0.37 from the site pointed to by 
'Tell me more' and... now I'm not getting the announcement any more 
(so far).

Is this the solution?
