Freezing during booting is not a classic symptom of a dodgy PSU but it could
possibly be.
The problem with the Iyonix is the the only other things that can be changed
are:
PCI USB card rather improbable but I never say never
PCI Graphics cards also improbable but a bit more likely than USB
Memory DIMM problems are more likely to be memory errors but an outside chance
PSU possible as I say but..
Motherboard ... has it had the PAL and other mods? Apart from that the
motherboard is a problem as they are not available and when they were they
were very expensive.

Other makes and models should be o.k. they might be cheaper or a lot more
expensive!
Classic & Panther cases use standard PSUs others use quite unusual ones, we
are just about to take delivery of some X300 case PSUs (We had to order them
from the states!)

PSU fitting is straightforward, the advantage a good RISC OS dealer is they can
try swapping in known reliable, USB, graphics, memory & PSU.
