Both easy, indeed, but there are others here besides me who have 
terrors about doing a flash upgrade :-(

A way of doing a soft-load at start-up would be a boon for the timid, 
and we now have more than one way suggested of doing this. Has anyone 
conformed that any of these methods do in fact work? I still feel a 
bit timid about trying one of these methods.
