Or don't pay anything (!) and install Truegrid NFS on XP and Sunfish on
RISC OS. Drobe has a 'how to'. Since the "WindowsXP can't handle a file
bigger than 1KB" problem arose here, Sunfish has been exhibiting some
features far preferred to LanMan (e.g. it doesn't have the 'fixed'
display/sort by characteristics - a bug? - and it doesn't seem to assume
I am using windoze as a server** and alter filenames without asking my
permission! Or is that all fixed in LanMan98? Ninety-eight. Blimey. That
name has a long shelf-life.)

** Before a snit pops his head in and points out that technically I am
using XP as a server, I was referring LanMan's classroom expectation that
RISC OS files and applications will be stored in a big window box. Nah. I
don't do that, I use the LAN simply to exchange compatible files and
programs. I guess I could just as easily be running Moonfish on RISC OS
and an NFS client on XP.
