[iyonix-support] Re: Networking problem

I too was wondering whether this list was the right place to ask about 
this problem, so I'm grateful to John for doing so and to Martin for 
confirming the cause, which I was already suspecting because nothing 
had changed on the Iyonix as far as I knew, whereas Windows updates 
arrive every few days.

In the meantime I had found that I CAN copy or save files up to 1024 
bytes to my XP machine, but anything larger than that is saved as an 
empty file.

As for the solution: I'm not sure how to roll back a Windows update, 
nor whether it would be wise to do so when it was intended to plug a 
security loophole. So I think it's time to order LanMan98 -- and hope 
I don't have too long to wait for an upgrade for that which will allow 
it to read from my LinkStation.
