I wouldn't call that solved, just a short term work around that almost
certainly will leave your PC exposed:-(

Unless a different version of LanMan fixes it, I believe you have two
options.
1. Wait and hope that another XP patch fixes the broken patch
2. Get LanMan98

As I sell LanMan98 you may guess my preferred solution!

n.b. LanMan98 is reportedly over twice as fast at transfers!
