That sounds interesting, but it would need someone to write
idiot-proof instructions before people like me could do this. :-(

Chris has already explained the name. I can only repeat that Lanman98
version 2.00 works faultlessly (so far, at any rate) here. The main
problem that people are still reporting about the older LanMan is the
impossibility of transferring big files. As an experiment, I
transferred a 48 megabyte file from Iyo to XP using LanMan98 2.00, and
had no problem.
