My Iyonix is about the same age as yours and I had the same problem a
year or two ago. I fitted a new PCI network card which works fine, but
I still have problems with the network interface on the motherboard
which seems to appear and disappear at random, sometimes preventing
the machine from starting up properly.
To try and cure the problem I very recently changed the power supply
with a new one from CJE Micros but it made no difference. Beware of
wasting your money on a new power supply!
Anyone want a perfectly good second hand power supply?
