Niklaus, if you are using DHCP, just leave everything empty. It should

There should be *nothing* in the "Host Names" window except for your 
"Host name" (just "iyonix" here). All the other fields should be 
completely empty, and options unticked.

There should also be nothing in the "Routing" window, and no options 
ticked.

All you should need to do is tick "via DHCP" in the interface 
sub-dialogue. Just leave everything else blank and unticked.

If you are NOT using DHCP, your netmask looks a bit odd:

> 255.255.255.248

Are you sure about the last number? It's usually 0.
