Unless you've got a heck of a lot of computers on the network, it 
might be better to start numbering from a higher value. Here, for 
example, the router is 192.168.1.1 and the computers start at 
192.168.1.100 - any other n/w peripherals could start at, say, 200. 
That way there is less room for confusion. Of course, once you get 
past a couple of computers it's quite a good idea to keep a list!
