Follow the checklist I posted in the 'Lost card reader Icon' thread. As
they are recognised by the USB system the devices are either hidden or
more likely the relevant modules aren't being loaded due to an error in
your boot sequence. The error may not be connected with FireFox.
!Reporter is very useful for tracking boot problems.
