[iyonix-support] Messenger problems

I am running Messenger Pro 4.24 on my Iyonix. 

Just recently it has decided that a Newsfile is corrupted. It
announces - "Reading back-up newsRC file due to a problem with
original - The new RC file is not of correct format"

When I then click continue it rejoins "An error occurred while
reading the NewsRC file. File is incomplete"

On continuing the computer generally functions OK but Messenger
refuses to function and just produces a box saying "Messenger is in
the process of logging you in. Please wait a moment and try again"

Continuing from this box just closes the box.

When the trouble started it asked me to use *checkmap which I did and
the computer reported map OK after running through the files.

I don't actually use the News function so it is unlikely to have had
any file updates so it is a bit puzzling as to why it has a problem. 

Is there an updated version that might fix the problem? I would
appreciate any guidance.
