Hi,
I read of an antidote to the pyjamas effect some time ago and
determined to try it, even though it seemed an unlikely solution.
When I finish with the Iyonix, my usual strategy is to use 'shutdown'
but to leave the 13a plug which feeds the 4 way adaptor for the
Iyonix, the modem and the 2 (Geminus) FS monitors, alone.
The antidote is to press the elliptical button and then the circular
button maybe 1 sec later.
I am now pleased to report that since using it, it has done the trick
with only a (very) few failures.
(If I do switch off the 13a supply, switching it on, then doing the
two button manouvre (tbm) is also successful - although the Iyonix has
been known to boot-up in the wrong screen mode and then things can go
awry. I fix this by repeating a 10 second 13a switch-off, followed by
the tbm until all is OK.)
Has there been an explanation for this 'tbm' solution?
